We are so glad you are here.

We are peers who have grown up with the stress and stigma of a parent's substance use: the stress of a home environment trying to heal, and the stigma that meant we couldn't talk about it without fear (until we found each other). Welcome to our Starlings Peers Community.

I don't know you but I want you to know it's not your fault, and I am so proud of you for being here.

I know how hard it is to care for them, for your siblings, and for all the stuff at home, please remember to care and show love to yourself too.

If you feel angry about your experiences, that's a good thing, because it IS unfair. But don't let the anger take over your life.

Don't forget to dream about the life you want. It can be easy to think nothing is possible outside of what you are going through right now, but it can, and it will, so don't forget to dream.
