Starlings Community of S.A.F.E.R Care Practice Professionals
The Starlings CoSP is a global, collaborative community for professionals who work in mental health and addictions spaces, including counsellors, therapists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, physicians, paramedics peer support workers, researchers, and students who are committed to providing safer support to people impacted by substance use and addiction.
About the COsP
The CoSP is a project by Starlings Community, an organization internationally recognized for their lived experience and leadership in research-informed, youth-centred approaches to supporting those impacted by parental substance use, who continue to believe that every person, regardless of their relationship to substances, deserves relevant, safe, and stigma free support and resources. Based on the feedback from professionals, and aligned with our mission and vision, our hope is to support the creation of a connected network of mental health and addiction professionals who are committed to providing safer support to people impacted by substance use through networking, knowledge sharing, and skill building subsequently increasing trust in service providers, reducing stigma and shame, and increasing help-seeking behaviour by youth and their families.
