Let us support you with resources and guidance from peers who have also grown up with a parent’s substance use or mental health challenges. We get it, because we’ve lived it too.

Starlings Caregiver Supports are aimed at supporting family caregivers (parents, grandparents, kinship caregivers and other important family members) in providing the resources, tools, and relationships that young people need to navigate their experiences and heal from past hurts.

We offer a peer perspective. This means, all the mentors you engage with will have had lived experience with parental substance use challenges. These experiences vary and include: the stress of a parents mental health and substance use, parental criminalisation, parental loss to death, as well as the shame and worry that can come with these experiences.
