Beyond Stigma: Beyond Stigma: Understanding the Roots of Shame, Stigma, and Connection explores how stigma is learned, carried, and experienced across relationships, families, communities, and systems, and ultimately how it affects youth growing up with parental mental health and substance use challenges. Participants examine how stigma can become shame, how shame and trauma can shape relationships, behaviour, and help-seeking, and how we can recognize and reduce unintentional stigma in our everyday interactions.
